Tool #10

1. No patronizing, cyber-bullying, and attempting to circumvent the protection protocols.

1. Atomic Learning

Digital Citizenship
a) An explanation of copyright laws may help to discourage plagiarism.

b) By sharing websites and links that are the main focus

Tool #9

  • Technology allows my students to accomplish musical goals much faster. We are able to manipulate just a basic recording to make into something practical that we can utilize to help us be successful
  • When students take ownership in their learning, that tend to get more out of the task and appreciate it even more.
  • Music was not included in the given websites.
  • I use "MiniPiano" and "Virtuoso" to give pitches frequently. "LaDiDa" is also a good app for creating commercial music that I've used from time to time.
  • I have been able to use my iPhone as a recorder to record individual voice parts to send out via email or text to students so they can work on their parts at home and take some ownership in their learning.
  • Tool #8

Things covered by the video tutorials:

    1. How to customize sync settings
    2. How to perform a search on the iPad or iPod
    3. How to locate a WiFi network

These are things I have known, but were covered in the tutorials.

I will get great use by allowing the students to make video and/or audio recordings.  Since, I will have very few devices and many students per class, I will have to set up an iPod/iPad use station or room where the students must sign in for each use and will have a very limited time frame in which to complete their assignment.

    Tool #7

    Video Choreography (Pop Show 2012)

    a. Using the choreographer to teach multiple choirs for a full choir performance via video recording
    b. This lesson would be implemented mid -April throughout all classes
    c. is my tool of choice
    d. We will bring in a choreographer to give step-by-step instructions on the moves for the song.  I'll use the iPad's camera feature and to record and upload the video.  Every class will have a representative (dance captain) with the choreographer so that they can provide further input in all the various classes.

    Tool #6

I think this is awesome! This is a great way to share information that is relevant and quick to the students that I know they can and will easily retrieve.  The officers and other choir leaders can use this as well.

    Tool #5

This was much more frustrating that I had anticipated.  I think the students could really enjoy it with scrap booking and promotional videos for choir.

    Tool #4

I decided to make this useful by sending a document to my colleagues that they will be able to use in the near future.

I could definitely see using the FORM app for quizzing the students on ear training in particular.

    Tool #3

    The importance of Solfege

    Using Facial expression while singing

Teachers and students cannot copy entire works and/or photos to be used for public consumption.

    Tool #2
From looking at several of my colleagues' posts, I'd say that we are having very similar experiences in terms in this being a useful tool for our particular discipline.

I am a member of several professional organizations with extensive websites and media outlets.  I'll review their sites for blogs.
